Job Title: Locum Consultant in Oncology Clinical/Medical

Contract Type: Temporary (6 months)

Hours: Full-time, 08:00 - 17:00, including participation in the non-resident on-call rota.

Salary: Competitive, based on experience.

About the NHS Trust:

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert clinical advice and treatment to patients with cancer, in accordance with local and national guidelines and protocols.
• Work collaboratively with other members of the multi-disciplinary team, including nursing staff, radiologists, and pathologists, to ensure coordinated and integrated care for our patients.
• Participate in the non-resident on-call rota, providing advice and support to junior medical staff and managing urgent and emergency oncology cases.
• Participate in clinical governance activities, including audit, research, and quality improvement projects.
• Provide teaching and supervision to junior medical staff, medical students, and other healthcare professionals.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Full GMC registration with a license to practice.
• Specialist registration in Oncology
• Experience in the management of patients with cancer in a clinical setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Commitment to continuous professional development.
