Job Title: Locum Consultant in Gastroenterology (South East)

We are currently seeking a highly experienced Locum Consultant in Gastroenterology to join a reputable NHS Trust in the South East. This role is an ASAP start for an initial 3-month period, with the potential for extension. The successful candidate will be required to work 8 clinical sessions a week, with an additional 2 admin sessions.

Responsibilities for this role include participation in ward-based triage with other consultants on a rota'd basis, as well as being on the on-call GI bleed rota (1 in 6). The job plan is flexible, and we have previously produced a job plan for other locums who have preferred to work 4 days a week. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in Gastroenterology and be comfortable with the following:

• 1:6 on-call

• 3-4 clinics per week

• Triage

• Ward-based work

• Endoscopy

We are looking for a candidate who has achieved CCT and has a passion for delivering excellent patient care. The successful candidate will be rewarded with an attractive rate of pay and flexible payment methods.

Requirements:

• CCT required

• Experience in Gastroenterology

• Excellent communication skills

• Ability to work well within a team

• Valid right to work in the UK
